About
Emily Grace Veater is a pianist, educator, and collaborator. Above all, she considers herself a lifelong learner. Originally from East Hollywood, California, Emily began her formal piano education at the Riko Method School of Piano at age twelve. Raised in a home filled with classical music from infancy, she developed an early sensitivity to melody, harmony, and expressive sound. This environment nurtured a deep fascination with the piano long before she ever touched the keys.
Her early training introduced her to the discipline of classical technique, the importance of theoretical understanding, and the foundations of expressive performance. These formative years established the technical and artistic principles that now define her work as both a performer and an educator. As she continued her studies, Emily also explored the works of Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionist composers, discovering the emotional depth and cultural richness each era offers.
Today, Emily is dedicated to sharing this passion with others. She strives to create a learning environment that is warm, patient, and inspiring. One where students feel encouraged to express themselves artistically while strengthening their musical foundation.

« I have been exposed to classical music since birth through the Mozart effect and have been passionate about music since a very young age, my music journey began at the age of twelve. I went to an international school of piano taught by music professors from Germany, Serbia, and Romania all under a Japanese piano foundation curriculum. In addition to my formal piano training, I dedicated four years to preparing for the Certificate of Merit examinations each year, which strengthened my foundation in music theory, technique, ear training, and performance. The CM program challenged me to get out of my comfort zone to approach music with deeper discipline, artistry, and academic understanding. Through this journey, I discovered how rewarding it is to see consistent effort transform into growth. I now encourage aspiring and current students to follow my path, whether through the Certificate of Merit or simple music lessons to expand their musical knowledge, build confidence, learn to expose students to performances and competitions, and develop the theoretical skills that elevate their playing to a new level. »
